The Home Selling Process

    Initial Contact

    DJ takes a comprehensive approach to selling real estate in Western Montana. DJ believes to understand value one must know every aspect of selling a home. From staging a home to market statics; DJ strives to be on the forefront of trends in the Western Montana market. He starts the process of selling your home by understanding what is special about your home. Beginning by sending a seller questionnaire helping you identify the uniqueness of your home, DJ will work to analyze it's value.

    The Pre-Listing Tour

    Every property is unique and assessing value is a skill known well to DJ. To truly understand the market value of your home it is critical to complete a thorough and comprehensive tour of your home. This tour is informal and a way for DJ to understand what your home has to offer a potential buyer. This is a great time to ask questions as well. We are beginning to work as a team.

    Listing Consultation

    This phase is when DJ will be sitting down with you and going over what your home is worth in today's market. He will outline what the brand power of RE/MAX brings to the table and cover the cutting edge technology he brings to every home he lists and markets for sale. DJ wants to make sure you have all the knowledge necessary to make smart decisions in your home sale with his help.

    Presentation on the MLS

    DJ strives for perfection when presenting his listings on the MLS or Multiple Listing Service. He wants to arm all Buyer's Agents who may be showing the property with the most information possible on his listings to make his listings rise above the others. DJ is an active top-producer and is very involved in the Realtor Association allowing him to present his listing to other top-producers in the Market. Other Agents like to work with DJ and want to sell his listings.

    Offer on your home

    Market conditions can vary and it is critical to have an experienced agent that understand trends in our market. DJ works diligently to educate his clients on the market and expectations in negotiations. DJ's top goals in negotiations for his clients are the highest price, the least amount of hassles or problems, and the least amount of time. Working together, the home seller and DJ will accomplish these goals.

    Working through the details (The "Escrow" process)

    This part of the home selling process can take anywhere from 30-90 days and has a contracted timeline. DJ's #1 priority in this phase to make sure his clients are aware of every timeline and deadline. This also is where we address any and all inspection items and work through the appraisal process. DJ's number one priority is to represent your best interests in this process and make sure you are fully aware of the pluses and minuses of the decisions that are worked through together.

    This will probably be one of the most important days of your life. With that in mind, DJ makes sure this moment is perfect for everyone involved from the title company to coordinating getting keys to the Buyers. DJ will review all the paperwork in detail and work with a Buyers Agent to make sure all of the pieces of the puzzle come together for a win-win. DJ's goal is to make this day perfect and stress free.
